New Board Chair Named for Siemens Subsidiary in Wake of Scandal

Oslo - The former board chairman of the Norwegian subsidiary of Siemens has left the company in the wake of a fraud scandal linked to the Norwegian defence forces, the group said Wednesday. Siemens AS of Norway has been ordered to pay a fine of 9 million kroner (1.6 million dollars) due to overbilling in connection with contracts awarded by the Norwegian defence forces. Several defence officials were also likely to face charges, prosecutors with the special police economic crime unit told Norwegian media. ...
