Lisa Biron is a Manchester lawyer accused of taking a 14-year-old teenage girl to Canada, having her engage in sexual activity and convincing her to let it be filmed, The Concord Monitor reports. She faces a long federal prison sentence if convicted. The Concord Monitor reported that Biron was arrested by FBI officials Friday before a scheduled hearing on child pornography possession charges stemming from an Oct. 9 arrest.
Reports claim that Biron has been linked to Alliance Defending Freedom (formerly the Alliance Defense Fund), a Christian right group that advocates for "religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family."
In a commentary from The Young Turks (see video embedded below), Ana Kasparian, John Iadarola (Host, TYT University), and Sam Schacher (Host, Pop Trigger) say that story is yet another of case of hypocrisy from the religious right. They ask, "When an attorney linked to protecting 'values' and 'family sanctity' is found to be committing acts such as Biron's alleged pornography, is it just a case of projection?"
